On a cold dull day in Switzerland, Madeira sounds very appealing.
We will be staying at the Hotel Sensimar Savoy Gardens in Funchal, the capital. Hopefully we will be able to get a bus to the town centre or to visit the botanical gardens, one of the main features of the Portuguese island.We also hope to taste some of the island's famous fortified wine, Madeira. There are several places we could visit.
